Soliloquy

Soliloquy

A Poem by Becca

To live or no to live, is the question.

To let a pet live in agony or to put it down.

Whether the pain should take their life or to ease the pain away.

If pain takes over everything in life, would you rather die and get it over with or just live

in such severe pain all you can do is cry?

To let a treasured family pet cry and shake with pain is a crime.

A broken leg and a shattered pelvis, to be paralyzed and in pain for their whole life.

Would anyone want to live like that?

No matter how much you love him, to allow him to live in agony and pain goes beyond

cruelty.

Sometimes you have to let them go.

Crying to let your pain out as you watch him get taken away is the best you can do for a

little defenseless critter in pain.

Cry in remembrance and forever hold the fond memories of him in your heart, never to

be forgotten.

So to let a pet in pain and agony live or to put it down.

Think of him and how he wants to be out of his never ending pain.

Should we choose to do the right thing when the time comes, they will be grateful.

To live or not to live, is the question.

I'm 23 and I write poems to keep me sane. Poems are my way of getting out how I feel. When I'm upset, I tend to write more. But there are times where I will get randomly inspired and write something c.. more..
