Flight

Flight

A Poem by Becca

The flight of my heart,

quickening and falling,

Slows down my pace.

Yet anger is still taking over.

My pulse drumming along,

Driving me mad.

I'm fighting the boiling anger,

And failing miserably.

I don't know how

she can stand there,

All smiles.

She ticks me off,

Helps me boil in anguish even more.

The flight of my heart is demanding.

Guess I'm going to risk it,

Because I can't stand it

Anymore.

About
I'm 23 and I write poems to keep me sane. Poems are my way of getting out how I feel. When I'm upset, I tend to write more. But there are times where I will get randomly inspired and write something c.. more..
