Set Me Free

Set Me Free

A Poem by Becca

Hate fills to the brim,
The brim of my existence.
You call me a crazy fool,
But I say that's just stupid.
You tell me I'm ugly,
Yet you act like I don't know this.
Hate overflows through my pores.
Oozing out, only to attack you.
Jealousy goes a long way.
It's taken you on a high road to hell.
Hate is seeping out, exiting my system.
I wish to no longer hold a grudge against you.
Yet you won't let that happen.
You would rather drag me down with you.
Jealous of my care free life,
Of my easy way to laugh you away.
Jealousy is killing you,
Quickly and pain free.
You say you have swagger,
But do you even know what that means?
You're being buried by your own hands.
Digging deeper into rich soil,
Only to spoil it with your sins.
Hate once filled me, once overflowed from me.
Now I'm hate free,
All because I finally found a way to get you out of my head.
Finally found a way to set me free,
Free from a devil inside my once best friend.

About
I'm 23 and I write poems to keep me sane. Poems are my way of getting out how I feel. When I'm upset, I tend to write more. But there are times where I will get randomly inspired and write something c.. more..
