Love Who You Are

Love Who You Are

A Poem by Becca

Love life, love yourself.

That's all anyone can ever ask.

That's all that matters.

Trust me, I would know.

I hated myself.

Hated how I looked,

Disgusted how people looked at me.

My life seemed to suck, at least to me.

Anyone would have said I had everything,

But I still hated it.

An overdose on pain killers,

A hot running bath to soak in,

Wrists sliced to bleed out in the tub.

Now that I'm gone I would give anything to be back.

Realized how much I loved who I was.

So love yourself, love your life.

Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

It's all I ask now, that you love what life throws at you.

About
I'm 23 and I write poems to keep me sane. Poems are my way of getting out how I feel. When I'm upset, I tend to write more. But there are times where I will get randomly inspired and write something c.. more..
