Can You See?

Can You See?

A Poem by Becca

Can you see the light?

The light green of my eyes?

The light blond of my hair?

The light glittering off my pale skin?

I see it every time I look down at my body, still and lifeless.

Everyone is crying over me.

It makes me sick.

They can't see my smile or my bright green eyes full of love and hope.

Not anymore.

They don't understand why I took my life away.

But it was an accident.

I never meant to stall in front of the tracks.

There was no time for escape.

Can you see the light?

Green eyes, blond hair, and pale skin.

They are gone, but there is a light still.

Can you see it?
