Am I a Nerd or a Bookworm?

Am I a nerd for reading two books in a week?

 

Am I lazy for reading one book in a month?

 

I may seem nerdy when I read more than one book in a week,

 

And I may seem lazy when I read a book in a month.

 

But I read books less than three hundred pages and

 

it takes me three days to read it.

 

I read books over five hundred pages and it takes me a month or so it seems.

 

So am I nerd for being a bookworm?

 

Am I a loser because I like to read?

 

I am a bookworm and that's who I am.

 

Reading is a hobby for me,

 

Just like people collect stamps.

 

Am I a nerd for knowing strange little facts about an animal?

 

Am I a poet just trying to get along?

 

Nerds are good for big words,

 

Bookworms are for a good reference on a book.

 

So no, I am not a nerd, just a poet who likes to read.

 

Life may throw you lemons, but reading can help you lose your mind.
