Open Your Eyes

Open Your Eyes

A Poem by Becca

You think I'm crazy and I admit I am,

But you think I'm crazy because you think I'm different.

You think I'm different and that's because

You don't know me.

You don't know me because

You don't give me a chance.

Treat me right and I'll treat you the same.

Treat me like dirt and I throw it back in your face.

If you give me a chance,

You will see that I'm not as crazy as you think.

I'm not as different as you see.

From your eyes, I may be a crazy, grumpy, psycho girl,

But in my eyes I see something different.

I see myself as a bit crazy, almost always crabby, caring and friendly.

But you wouldn't know that,

Because you only see what you want to see.

Don't train your eyes to see what is on the outside.

Look deep into one's soul adn then judge.

You see, I once thought you were a preppy stuck up snob,

But then I got to know you and it all changed.

I opened my eyes to each soul, each meaning, and each word.

Life as I knew it changed.

It could change for you as well;

All you have to do is open your eyes!

About
I'm 23 and I write poems to keep me sane. Poems are my way of getting out how I feel. When I'm upset, I tend to write more. But there are times where I will get randomly inspired and write something c.. more..
