Love. Hate. Laughter. Victims.

Love. Hate. Laughter. Victims.

A Poem by Becca

Laughter is contagious.

Love is a fluke.

Hate is a crime.

I am a victim of all.

The first one comes so easy.

A simple joke, someone getting hurt,

the smiles of friends, a good line in a book.

I laugh from all of these as I bet you do too.

The second one seems obvious.

People fall for someone and realize it's fake.

Someone comes along and makes you blush,

but it's not real.

I fall for someone new every few months.

The third one is what we all do.

Hate is brought on by feelings.

You hate someone and act up to prove it.

We all do it, whether it's against a gay, or against a black.

I am a victim of love, laughter, and hate.

We are all victims as we become aware of different ways.

Each person is a victim by these in a unique way.

Not one person views these the same way.

Even so we are all different, yet the same.

I'm 23 and I write poems to keep me sane. Poems are my way of getting out how I feel. When I'm upset, I tend to write more. But there are times where I will get randomly inspired and write something c.. more..
