Let In

Let In

A Poem by Becca

If I let you in,
Would you run away?
If I showed my pain,
Would you walk away?
Or would you stay at my side?
I'm a victim of my own misery.
Letting people in is a pain.
They all either judge,
Or walk away.
So if I showed you what's inside,
If I showed you the hurt.
If I let you in,
What would you do?
Let me know.
Let me hear.
Let me see.
I ask for a friend.
Not a foe.
I ask for someone to rely on.
Someone to show they care.
I'm a closed book,
Yet open to those who want to know.
A friend is what I seek.
Someone to let in.
Someone to know me and the pain.
Closed doors.
Open hearts.
Closed minds.
Open exterior.
What will you do?

About
I'm 23 and I write poems to keep me sane. Poems are my way of getting out how I feel. When I'm upset, I tend to write more. But there are times where I will get randomly inspired and write something c.. more..
