You Should Know

For everyone that doesn't know,

I have a big heart.

I over care and I over trust.

I over love and I over stress.

When I start caring. 

You should know,

To not take advantage,

As I do have a breaking point.

I'm on the edge, 

Of screaming out.

I'm on the verge,

Of spilling it all out.

But I know,

That no matter what,

The world and the people around me,

Are not ready for it yet.

For those who do know,

I will forever stick to your side.

No matter how mad or upset I get.

Because once you are in my life for longer than a year,

You will forever be there.

Yeah, I speak the truth.

But I also hold back a lot.

Many don't know it.

And only a few do.

And for everything I live for,

Nothing will ever change me.

Nothing will ever change how I feel.

And I know how to wait.

Even with my lack of patience,

I know how to wait.

Especially if it's something I KNOW is worth it.

Maybe not a something, but a someone, or both.

So when I say I care.

And that I love you.

Don't take it for granted.

As, in some way or another,

Those I love, are forever in my heart.

I wish I knew how to tell everyone.

But from a distance, I can't.

And with this poem,

You will now know.

I care. I trust. I love.

I'm loyal. I'm moody. I'm tough.

Take me as I am.

Or don't take me at all.

Be there for me, as I am for you,

Or don't bother at all.

If you choose to be here,

Don't leave.

That's all I ask.

I love you all.

Even when I don't love myself.

I will always care for all of you.

Even when I don't care for myself.
