A Daughter's Love

A Daughter's Love

A Poem by Becca
"

R.I.P DADDY

"

I can't help but think,
About what would have happened
If you were still here.
My life would be completely different.
But you never know.
Time changes everything,
No matter what.

I can't help but think,
About how you would have been.
Who you would have been.
No time can change how I feel.
Every day, I do miss you.
But, that's a daughter's love isn't it?

Time can pass and pass.
Years will go by,
But nothing will change that feeling,
Of missing out on something big.
Of missing out on a life that could have been.

But for now,
I will stand strong,
And be the best I can be.
If only,
To make you proud.

A daughter's love...
One that never goes away.

Becca, I just deleted the other comment I left you. We never forget our parents. The lessons they taught us, the love they gave us....it lasts through a lifetime. Unfortunately, when they pass, we miss them till the day we die and wonder what advice they would have given us about circumstances in our lives. Your words are intensely emotive and written from the heart. I am sure your Daddy would be proud of you. lydi**
