Child Games

Child Games

A Poem by Becca

Let's just get one thing straight.
I am not what the rumors say.
If anyone took the time to know me,
They would quickly realize.
I will not abide to this drama.
It doesn't bother me anymore.
For I know the truth,
and those close to me do as well.
Child games lie within rumors and drama.
This isn't middle school anymore.
Grow up and be an adult.
I don't care what you say about me.
It doesn't affect me.
I'm stronger than you are.
So go ahead, play kid games.
Because you're only proving yourself
To be immature.

I'm 23 and I write poems to keep me sane. Poems are my way of getting out how I feel. When I'm upset, I tend to write more. But there are times where I will get randomly inspired and write something c.. more..
