ChildlikeA Poem by Becca
There's a child like quality in me.
It shows whenever I smile and laugh. It shows as I walk downtown, Skipping and singing along to my music. I gaze upon others, And ask myself, Do I look like a child to them? What happened to their child like glow? I am in every way, A child a heart. And as I get older, I hope I don't lose it. Because in way, it brings back a time, Where everything seemed okay. No matter how your childhood was, You got to admit having those childish quirks. That's something everyone should remember and embrace. Early adulthood, mid-adulthood. Or even elderly adulthood. It's always good to remember Those little things that made you smile. Those simple little things, That can take you back. Into a time where, for most, Nothing was much to worry about. Go out and do those childlike things. Enjoy the time you have to live. Just simply, embrace it.
