Being Part of a Couple

Everywhere I look,

There are couples.

Some happy, some not.

Some having their ups and downs.

Being part of a couple is something everyone wants.

Maybe one day in the future.

Or one day very soon.

Me? Yeah, I want to be a part of a couple. 

To be someone else's other half.

But I don't need one right away. 

When the time comes, it will.

That's one thing I see people fail at. 

They push themselves into relationships,

Thinking it will help or it's what they need.

No, you don't need to be with someone to be happy.

Just live your life and be single for as long as time allows. 

It's not so bad after once you get used to it.

Take time to find yourself before you find another.

It's what I'm doing. 

Taking my time.

Learning more about who I am.

And when the time comes, if someone likes me for who I am,

Then maybe, one day, I'll be part of the group,

Where I can share my hopes and dreams with someone else.

Where I can be the other working half of a working relationship.

But for now, I'll just keep being me.

Living day by day.

Learning and exploring what the world has to offer.
