Hurt

Shut me out. 

Take me down.

Either way,

It hurts.

Maybe I care too much.

Maybe I'm just too easily broken.

All I ask,

Is to be honest with me.

To have trust in me.

To have faith in me.

I'm the girl,

That won't go anywhere.

That will always be at your side.

Through thick and thin.

For better or worse.

So shut me out, 

Take me down.

It will hurt, but

I'll forgive and forget....

Nice poem, but it is honestly a little generic. You obviously know how to write and how to use your words to create emotion, but I just wish you'd gone beyond the hackneyed constraints of this topic to create something truly artistic instead of just another emotional outpouring.

thanks for the constructive critisism.... but i wrote this poem in the spur of the moment because that was how i felt at the moment. i dont write for people's entertainment. its my way of letting out what i need to let out. if it comes out as an emotional outpour, than so be it. but thank you

Generic ,some one has always said it before,maybe better,but you are unique you can say it different you can put your flair,your smell,a thumb nail stamp, a line that will direct the readers thoughts collect them, then intrude on their perceptions.
