Layerable Pain

Layerable Pain

A Poem by Becca

I'm screaming in pain.
Can't you see that?
Just peel away a few layers,
And you will see.

I'm shouting out to the world.
What else can I do?
Choose not to see,
But my pain is there.

Love, anger, jealousy, sadness.
It's all there.
Can you see it?
I bet you can't.

This pain,
Shoved deep inside,
Hidden where no one will look.
Time to peel a few layers away.

Layer, by layer.
Each pain is reviled.
My screaming is slowing.
Dying out.

I have shown the world
All of my pain and sorrow.
If you choose to ignore it,
That's your choice.

About
I'm 23 and I write poems to keep me sane. Poems are my way of getting out how I feel. When I'm upset, I tend to write more. But there are times where I will get randomly inspired and write something c.. more..
