Hopelessly in Love

My heart is racing,

I know what this is.

But even if I admit it to myself,

There's no point.

 

Yes, I am in love with him.

Forever and more.

Will I ever get over him?

Time will tell.

 

I can't tell him I love him,

Not anymore.

It doesn't matter.

He moved on.

 

I'm falling in a dark hole.

And I can't climb my way out.

For this love has me in a hold.

And I can't let go.

 

Even just being his friend,

Makes it hurt even worse.

But I am trying.

Trying to let this feeling go.

 

I am in love.

Hopelessly in love.

Nothing matters anymore though.

I've let him go.
