True Love

True Love

A Poem by Becca

For the very first moment I Iaid my eyes on you,

I couldn't help but smile with glee.

Butterflies stirred inside,

While I talked to you with a twinkle in my eye.

When you first said hello to me,

I couldn't help but think why me?

Now I know the true meaning of love.

Skipping beats of the heart,

Forever for you.

I love you with all of me.

And I know what we have is real.

In the first line it seems like the first word should have been "from" rather than "for". As for the line as a whole, I don't love it because it is so familiar, more so than the rest of the poem, which seems more unique.
For the poem's title in context of the poem, it seems a little bit extreme. Overall this is very sweet poem and it made me a bit nostalgic.
Good job,
have fun,
Erin

I wrote a poem about love like this in response to poems like this. Enjoy the feeling while it's genuine.

I'm 23 and I write poems to keep me sane. Poems are my way of getting out how I feel. When I'm upset, I tend to write more. But there are times where I will get randomly inspired and write something c.. more..
