All That They Can BeA Poem by BeccaBelieved-Cute little bundles, squirming in the grass Two little kittens, but one might not last. The little gray one, cute as can be, Is too small to survive, a little like me. Their mother can't be seen, she's off hiding somewhere, Trying to pretend that I was never there. I feel so sorry for the babies, new to their life, When I see their innocence; it cuts me like a knife. And then there's the black and white one, Mewing up at the rising run. She's stonger than her brother, But she wishes for her mother. I feel so sorry for these darlings, for they can't see; They are blind to the world, a lot like me. I wish I could open their eyes, To all that they could be.
