Broken Love.

Broken Love.

A Poem by Amber Miller

I read the text several times.
I hate you,I hate you,I hate you.
A few days ago it was,
I love you,I love you,I love you.
The hatred pierces through my heart like razor blades.
My emotions all seem to fade.

I lay here on the floor.
Phone in hand, cuts down my wrists.
Your words rocked me to the core.
I can't stand this anymore.

I only say "I love you" when I really mean it.
You decided to take my heart and run away with it.

Here I lay torn and broken.
I'm cut up on the inside and outside.
Tears running down my cold face.
As I look up at the empty ceiling looking for stars to wish on.

I need you like the air I breathe.
But every time you're here,I just get stabbed in the heart again.

I now lie on this floor,
eyes shut.
Knowing that there is no longer one broken heart in the world.

But another heartbeat that will never be heard again in this world.
