Uni-love

Uni-love

A Poem by Amber Miller
"

Just something whipped up in less than 30 minutes, needed something to take my mind off of things.

"
I'm aware of the people staring at us as we walk down this street.
I'm aware of the people taking double-takes.
I'm aware of the people that are taking disgusted looks.
They just don't understand.

Your warm hand is intertwined with mine.
Your smile spreading across your face with delight.
Your presence makes me happy in overall.
Then again,they stare.
They just don't understand.

So yeah,
what if we both have breasts?
what if we both have vaginas?
Where does it say that it's illegal to date someone your gender?
Love exists,that's all that matters.
They just don't understand.

We're both happy.
We're both loved by each other.
We're both just happy.
Why don't they understand?

Author's Note

Amber Miller
Very rushed,I just needed something to take my mind off of something.
I consider this an epic fail of a poem.

Ah, Love knows no boundries, not gender, race, religion, hell even species, this was well penned. I love the raw honesty in this!
