Broke

Broke

A Poem by Jishnu

Oh! The journey of life,
Thou taught thine divine,
Thou taught thine happy,
Thou deprived it.

At first, on the steps,
Thou taught thine sad,
Thou taught thine the walls,
Thou taught thine lonely.

Then, thou took peace,
Thou took sleep,
Thou took trust,
Thou took family.

Thou hurt thine emotions,
Emotions to physical hurt,
Physical hurt to mental instability,
Mental instability to intellectual disability,
Intellectual disability to consciousness,
Consciousness to financial dependence.

Thou left no stones unturned,
Thou broke thine in steps,
Over the years,
Untill eternity,
With no light, at the end of the tunnel.
