Love or Death?

Love or Death?

A Poem by Jishnu
"

A love story between blood and heart. A representation of how we keep ignoring love until its too late. Until death catches up with us.

"
Red! What color thee match?,
Is it dark? Thine is superficial,
Is is light? Thine think it deep,
Oh! It is thine Blood!

Poor Heart; Show thee Love,
Day and Night thou work,
Do not tire,
For Red is lifeless in thine absence.

Pity the Red; What is love to thee?
Thou branch like a tree,
Oh, Show a pin, a tip of thine root,
To thine Love.

Thine branch reach the thought,
A thought to drain thee,
A thought to tear thee,
From thine Love.

Thou Red, Oh! So blind,
Thou flow for all time,
And forget thine love,
Till the end of time.

Hi there, thank you for sharing this works.

You use words that I don't see too often now, so it sticks out to me, and I also enjoy this personification of love between Blood and Heart. It's an interesting one, could you please tell me what you visualize for stanza 3? (I'm having a bit of trouble).

I look forward to see your next entry! :)
