Lay me down
On a bed of roses
Throw me away
In a sea of dismay
Hold me close
As the storm clouds
Refuse stray
Cover me up
With longing and Despair
Whisper gently
Letting me know
You still care
I will face the world
Gladly alone
As long as you help
Catch the first stone
Cast away my demons
As if they
Were your own
Hold out your hand
Take me to paths
Not yet known
Hold me gentle
Against the winter cold
Love me like crazy
Make yourself
My new home.
If one person took the time to think about what this poem means I'm pretty it would add up to the passion of two lovers consuming. I love this poem for its imagery and the desire to become one with the others. Either way, this poem is great.
A bit chilling sense to this piece...it kinda goes two ways for me...
Throw me away
In a sea of dismay...
Cover me up
With longing and Despair...
Sort of a contradiction of true love, but at the same time time...love can be just like this...so I feel this works well in your writing...excellent job!
