I am the shadow,
 and the smoke in your eyes
I am the ghost, 
that hides in the night

Visions of torment
Play into the dread
Countless visions
Circle my head
Catching glimpse
Dying fight
Who are we
In this shattered life

 Take a step back,
Gotta think twice
 Before you react.

Stay a little while
 Cause a promise
Not kept 
Is the road to exile

What's the circumstance
You'll never be great
 Without taking a chance

Had your hands in your  pocket
When you should've been gone.

I don't know why I wrote this or what feelings even went into it. All I know was with the song and my feelings this is what happened. Enjoy and let me know what you think.

I feel that the parts that you wrote stand out on their own merits. I read through the poem twice, once in its entirety and the second time only the parts that you wrote. I think with some tweaks here and there it would be a very good poem with just the parts you have here.
