Dream-scape euphoria Held tight in my head Childhood visions Refuse to bring death Innocent days Life was so sweet Whatever happened To those days When childhood leaves ~*~ Taper longing Easier ways Butterfly magic Slowly decays Hang on to the thread As the rhythm fade tight Dream away the longing Hold it into the night ~*~ Childish tendencies I claim to hold near The world is so simple Through the longing and despair ~*~ Each dream hold a door A prize behind each Which will you open? What will your mind Let you see? A beautiful princess? A house made of stone? Family and loved ones? You have let go? ~*~ Play make believe In the yard Out back Hold on to something You long to get make Imagine yourself What you claim to be Life is beautiful Look and you will see.
Very wonderful poem! I really, really loved it. It seemed different from your others ones, but I'm not sure why I think that. The last verse is superb.
Time flies by and nothing is the same, once innocent now corrupted, its a shame nowdays kids grow up to fast, innocence is a gift.
Very well said and done...
kids r weird in the eyes of the old they have imaginary friends and play to be old, this poem makes me think and wonder at what time we changed and became us when we changed how we saw the world
i myself wish so much i would be 5 years old again...a longed wish....yearning for childhood happiness again...childhood innocence!
a very very beautiful poem!!
i loved it!
I love to remember those days of being a child and pull that memory through my heart and still live that youthful dream in my adult days...xo so I never forget the simple things.. the things that use to really make me go ahh...and stop breathing for just a moment while in awe...
Love this..xx
