Eating Away

Think
It's not illegal yet
Finally let out
The sorrow and dread
Bleed on the paper
What you see fit
Who gives a damn
If they see it
~*~
Horror show mockery
They all think alike
Feed off your weakness
To get into the light
Hold out your hand
Your better off dead
Their empty words
Play games with your head
~*~
Memory blockage
Hidden in my head
Repressed memories
Leaving a million
Words unsaid
What gives you
The right
To take it from me.

~*~
Play the game willingly
Until others come along
Then pull the strings
When your show has gone wrong
Where will you stand
When the curtain is pulled too?
Rest assured
I won't be standing with you.
~*~
Laughing at others
So easy to see
Keep on playing
Until your eyes meet
Talking to talk
But your talk is cheap
Fastening to walk
Your a cowardly sheep
~*~
Lessons in time
That we will all learn
Take from the weak
Wait their turn
Mimic the ones
You claim to hold dear
After all, sweetheart
That is why you are here
~*~
Pass blame to another
It has you afraid
Life isn't a word
It is full of dismay
Play innocent
It comes out in time
Give it a while
Your rise will surly die

Author's Note

Alicia Hirshey
I sit there and let people talk into my ear and let so much anger build up until I explode, literally. I don't understand why, it is just something that I have always done, it doesn't help that here lately there have been so many bad poems about me written by people that know nothing about me or who I am that i am afraid to get on the site and write any poetry anymore. I have here recently been writing in my journal. i figured that if anyone wanted me to write that they would ask why i haven't been. Today, i just couldn't hold back anymore. So i just let my fingers say what my mind has been wanting too. sorry if it has offended anyone. if it has get over it and kiss my ass.

You always write first for you.. A friend once told me that and it changed how I felt about critics. You see..if your writing from your life..your thoughts..your experiences you can't go wrong.. You will gather those around you who can appreciate you as is.. So write for you...xxx

"Think. It's not illegal yet." That line just makes me smile. So many people don't think, and that lines just tells why we should.
