Imaginary outline Written in pink Pretty little sparkles Alter the way we think Missing emotions hidden away within the ink With the wave of the wand Little girl nothing Became something more Marry make believe Sky diving on the floor Surfing the tide Hidden along the lost shores ~*~ Crimson stain Marked and plain Barely showing The faint scars remain Little nonsense In her eyes you will see She has stashed it away Under lock and key Razors calling Nothing to gain If only it were easy To keep the calls away. ~*~ Make this wish Your somebody Even if your words they twist Safe haven to protect you Hide you in the night Imagination brought This place to life Making life easier No longer the constant fight ~*~ You've come a long way Sense we first set sail watching it pass To spaces unknown Little stories Line the memories At least They won't go away When I'm asleep Bedtime stories I listen to them all From fairies to gnomes Finally I realize They were all better left untold.
Beautiful. I love the images that skipped around in my mind, and the hope and yearning you've woven into the poem. It's amazing and I feel that it tells us that not everything is what it seems. I especially liked the very last two lines. Also:
"Missing emotions
hidden away within the ink"
Amazing.
