Meadow Melody

Meadow Melody

A Poem by Alicia Hirshey

Melodramatic melody
Softly spoken glare
Whispers in sunshine
Thank goodness you are there
Lonely encouragement
I’ll never make it through
Everything is fallen apart
I’m held together
Thanks to you
~*~
Longing for something
More than what we are
Carry away my hopes
Scatter my dreams far
Grow the wings of an angel
Fly me far away
Hold me forever near
Let me succumb to your heart
~*~
Dandelion happiness
Gingersnap lapse
Growing older
Never looking back
Faith recognition
Holding earth so dear
Shelter me, darling
Remind me how I got here
~*~
Wild flower orchestra
Vivid display
Holding the image nicely
Imprinted in my brain
Hopeful longing
Who I want to be
Make this image perfect
Memorize me
~*~
Spring is now upon me
Butterflies in my hair
Winter is long forgotten
Beauty take me away from here
Meadow hide and seek
Insects buzzing
Frogs hop along with my feet
Joyous realization
We have made this true
I found all of me
It’s all thanks to you

I loved this! I really liked the aspect and strong theme of nature you tied into here. I can vividly imagine every line and descriptive metaphor. A bright and inspiring poem to read. It really opened up my eyes today. Great job :)

Describing a person as a season of your heart is a very creative style.I love the title.A hook.I got akitty named meadow.we found her in the meadow.

The nature references really paint a strong mental picture. The only issue I had with this was the first line, "Melodramatic melody." The words are very similar and to me they sound awkward together. The rest is excellent. Good job Ali!

An interesting way of looking at life. Yes, it is a prefered path. But not everyone has that luxury to choose thier paths.
