Diamond Lies

Diamond Lies

A Poem by Alicia Hirshey

It wasn't your fault it was mine, for believing every word you said.
~*~*~*~

I love you
You’ll never see
The pain or tears this has caused me
Giving in
Buying time
Wanting nothing more than to survive.
~*~
Dagger is placed
Hold me down
Memories erased
Never once judging
A game you love to play
Deadly sins
I’ll never make safe
~*~
Medicated toxins
Leaving the brain
Shorter the while
We go insane
Symptoms intense
Leaving us a heretic mess
~*~
Missing every bit
Trying to get back
Push me away
I will continue to fight back
If only you knew
Death is a fact
Polish your shoes
Your Sunday robes
Watch me fall a part
Anything goes

Alicia Hirshey
This was really just a mess that I had written on several sheets of paper. None were supposed to be a poem. But I got bored today and stuck them all together.

Well you stucked them together beautifully! I truly believe poetry is brought together by several feelings, may not be all at once but it is from deep within!
Heartache is always an easy way to show our feelings, for the reason that we have all been there, but the pain is ours to hold!
I really enjoyed this piece of creation! Kudos!

This is an interesting collaboration of poems, the bigger picture is that like love it is a big jumble of words and it can be a hot mess. :)

I have to agree with Vanessa. Though this poem is all over the place it still manages to flow together perfectly. Very good write.

You say this was a mess, but it sort of fits together...emotions can be all over the place and it makes sense to jump from one feeling to the next. Ali, how many times have I told you how utterly talented you are? Well, I will say it again! You are so talented and I am glad to know such a strong and brave woman and mommy! Love you!

honestly this is a whirlwind crafted to it's own perfection, it reminds me of a model depicting tragic love, it is delving and darkly beautiful. Awsome style!
