Poetic Death

Poetic Death

A Poem by Alicia Hirshey

Talent unrenowned
Learning to hit
While your opponents is down
Fair fighting
Is what is said
How much longer will you push me
Until I slit my wrists
And let it end.
~*~
Love like winter
Is easier to say
Than it ever held to be true
Slowly consuming
In spite the hue
Killing me softly
Laying here with you
~*~
Biggest inspiration
Failure to some
It does not stop me
From helping him run
Playing bad guy
He plays it safe
Risking my life
It won’t end this way
~*~
No room to talk
You hurt just as bad as me
Everything I do is wrong
every wind that blows
Slowly helps you break me
Lies that were told
Hidden in dread
How will it feel
When it chooses to end
~*~
Consuming my being
Eating my core
Taking me over
My soul and more
Playing these mind games
My disorder holds the strings
Nothing is left
But nothingness of insanity.
~*~
Talent unrenowned
Learning to hit
While your opponents is down
Fair fighting
Is what is said
How much longer will you push me
Until I slit my wrists
And let it end.

so sad to post this sort of slicing and dicing with little girls of 13 in here...you need to get some therapy..

I love the darkness of this. It's emotional, in a subtle way. In response to the part "until I slit my wrists and let it end," I hope you don't cut. I do, and it's an awful addiction. So don't slit your wrists. Anyway, this is really an excellent piece of writing.
