Garden's JewelA Poem by Alicia HirsheyIn the spring
I love to visit A garden to the west Magnificent colors And beautiful flowers Border the outskirts of it Of all the beauty The life it seems to posses I can’t help but wonder Where the hummingbird hides it’s nest Away in a tree The wings pitter patter Beautiful emeralds’ Of feathers fly past Darting from bush In the morning sun Enjoying the glory God has undone Wistfully past the old oaks limbs Darting for cover Hiding from the wind Jewel of the garden What wonders in progress Magnificent glory Nature at her finest Tapestry painted In every beat Along with my heart It will not cease Flying with magic That I will never know Beautiful glory in front of me Began to unfold In the spring I love to visit A garden to the west Magnificent colors And beautiful flowers Border the outskirts of it Of all the beauty The life it seems to posses I can’t help but wonder Where the hummingbird hides it’s nest © 2011 Alicia HirsheyAuthor's Note
