Beautiful girl Fourteen in age Never once understanding The built up rage Running to hide Fighting for her life You’d never once think That something was happening at night Mom has died Months ago No one to protect her Where will she go Staying with her grandpa They thought she’d be safe Never once seeing The man was a snake Using hurtful words Taking her in the night Everyday it was a battle To keep herself alive Hiding places All of which found Dragging her out Slamming her down Slowly taking her She won’t make a sound Nobody knows How it plays out He leaves no bruises No marks to be seen Instead He took her virginity Young girl Trying to move on Nothing can fix here Her reasoning is all gone She must have provoked him She’ll never know why She couldn’t put up a fight. Young child This wasn’t because of you If only someone listened This wouldn’t have to be true Beautiful girl Fourteen in age Never once understanding The built up rage © 2011 Alicia HirsheyAuthor's Note
