Young Girl's AfflictionA Poem by Alicia HirsheyWritten for Kayla=] I love you hunUseless argument Controlling game Endless jealousy Driving each other insane Lying to get a point across Cheat at the game Never once caring Always replacing the blame. * She’s running to friends Making it worse than it is He sounds abusive But she’s not ashamed He never once hit her So who’s to blame. Arguing to make peace Only makes it worse But she couldn’t care She isn’t the one who’s hurt worse * Always hiding Afraid of what she’ll say Never once Trying to face the day Problems are ongoing Fighting never stops She’s running his life And he’s giving up the fight Never getting along It’s a lost cause Why should he care It was all a game of dare * Time apart Makes this right At least they tried They won’t just give in The want this life Working for the better No longer placing blame Everything is working out They are both to blame. © 2011 Alicia HirsheyAuthor's Note
