Beautiful pain Sacred meaning Weed isn’t a drug It’s all a dream Natural to grow Only normal high It’s okay It won’t help me die * Idiot choices You fail the test There is no way to overcome it Feeding your addiction Until your brain is finally fried Giving up your life Is that how you want to die? * Come on dude It’s just one drink What do you want Your friends think you a geek It’s not like it will kill you Only make you fly With this in your system You can dance all night. * Intoxication A name we all know Get behind the wheel Give the people a show Killing a bystander Is how this will repay It doesn’t matter though As long as your okay. Dancing in the night Your liver is dying But it’s okay It’s worth the ride. * Just a needle Poke it into your veins It’s heroine It won’t drive you insane Moving faster Than you’ve ever known Come on dude Give it a go. * What wrong with you Getting your thrills There’s more things to life Than your cheap thrills Giving into pressure Some kind of plight I thought you were better That old guy * A little white pill Dude It’s a rush All sorts of colors Mixing at once An unending party In your head You’ll see Just pop it down Don’t worry It’s on me. * Overdosed It’s quite alright I’d rather pass I value my life Running from problems Life is to extreme Don’t you ever Turn your back on me Giving into pressure Your not alright Turn around It’s never to late To put up a fight.
There is a high rate of suicide in alcoholics and drug abusers. The reasons believed to cause the increased risk of suicide include the long-term abuse of alcohol and drugs causing physiological distortion of brain chemistry as well as the social isolation. Another factor is the acute intoxicating effects of the drugs may make suicide more likely to occur. Suicide is also very common in adolescent alcohol abusers, with 1 in 4 suicides in adolescents being related to alcohol abuse.[9] In the USA approximately 30 percent of suicides are related to alcohol abuse. Alcohol abuse is also associated with increased risks of committing criminal offences including child abuse, domestic violence, rapes, burglaries and assaults.[10]
Drug abuse, including alcohol and prescription drugs can induce symptomatology which resembles mental illness. This can occur both in the intoxicated state and also during the withdrawal state. In some cases these substance induced psychiatric disorders can persist long after detoxification, such as prolonged psychosis or depression after amphetamine or cocaine abuse. A protracted withdrawal syndrome can also occur with symptoms persisting for months after cessation of use. Benzodiazepines are the most notable drug for inducing prolonged withdrawal effects with symptoms sometimes persisting for years after cessation of use. Abuse of hallucinogens can trigger delusional and other psychotic phenomena long after cessation of use and cannabis may trigger panic attacks during intoxication and with use it may cause a state similar to dysthymia[citation needed]. Severe anxiety and depression are commonly induced by sustained alcohol abuse which in most cases abates with prolonged abstinence. Even moderate alcohol sustained use may increase anxiety and depression levels in some individuals. In most cases these drug induced psychiatric disorders fade away with prolonged abstinence

Left me speechless. It's....wow. Taking a stand against drugs and alcohol is something I'll always do. It's so hard, to convince someone who does them that they're wrong.
Interesting. True, people are idiots trying to get thier cheap high's and thrills and trying to get others to follow. I think we should just let the foolish die, but protect the innocent from thier corruption until they croak.
Wow, just wow. I relate to this alot, cause I watch my parents go through it :/ but it's a great poem, and bring great awareness. Can I post the link on Facebook?
