Max The Bear

Max The Bear

A Poem by Alicia Hirshey

There is a bear

Tattered and torn

But never to torn

To be adored

There is a boy

Who loves that bear

He brings Max along

Everywhere

Best friends

His favorite toy until the end

Max will never shed a tear

For it is Matt

Who hold him dear

Push his paw

He sings a song

It’s never to late

He sings so fond

Blue ears

Red button nose

He has a friend

Who loves him so.

Yard sell treasure

I do now see

Max changed our lives

It’s plan to see

There is a bear

Tattered and torn

But never to torn

To be adored

There is a boy

Who loves that bear

He brings Max along

Everywhere

Author's Note

Alicia Hirshey
I bought Max at a yard sell a few months back, Before my little birdie (Matt) even learned his first word. It was the best 50 cents I've ever spent. Matt takes Max everywhere with him, He prefers that raggedy old bear over all his toys, even the ones i payed out the butt for. Watching my birdie (Matt) play with the teddy bear that his daddy named Max warms my soul. It's way off from what I would normally write about, This I know. But it was really fun to write about it.

So cute! I'm getting imagery imprinted in my brain now, lol. Awww..you should definitely keep his teddy even when he gets older, so he has a part of his childhood always with him to worthwhile remember. =] I kinda wish my parents would've done that for me instead of throwing everything out and losing baby pictures.
