Dark CrusaderA Poem by Alicia HirsheyWritten for a good friend Andrew AllmonDark crusader Flying in the night Moving so fast You’d never catch sight Evil doers beware He’s out to get you Mercy isn’t there
Running Gotham They refused to have a care Never once caring What was waiting for them out there Playing their games Stealing lives To them it’s a game Never sharing the fight
Dashing through windows Setting us free Wonderful icon For all in the city Protect innocent Fighting by night Not once stopping It’s a fight for our lives
Running the circus Playing these games Not even a rat could escape No side kick is needed He knows the game. Funny how easily frightened You become at the mention Of his name
Dark crusader Flying in the night Moving so fast You’d never catch sight Evil doers beware He’s out to get you Mercy isn’t there © 2011 Alicia HirsheyAuthor's Note
