On Love And Pain

On Love And Pain

A Poem by Alicia Hirshey

Tears of pain,
Stream down my face.
A whole new day,
But the feeling is just the same.
So much inside,
That I will never say.
I take my words
And lock them away,
Hiding them from the monster,
That used to be me.
Single cuts,
No scars to bare,
Hidden away
In a veil of dispair.
Words long forgotten,
Emotions hid in the night.
Locked away in darkness,
Hiding behind a knife.
Misunderstood,
A burden to bare.
Feeling alone,
No one will take you from there.
Eyes burn like fire,
Words hid in the night.
Just go to sleep,
In the morning it'll be alright.

Alicia Hirshey
There comes a point when you realize how much the person you love means to you. But by that time, They are already gone.
