Broken and Alone

Broken and Alone

A Poem by Alicia Hirshey

Sitting here,
Alone in my room,
Thinking about the pain,
That you so happily put me through .
There was a time,
When the pain was easy to bare,
But today.
I'm consumed by my own dispair.
You and me,
We faced the storm,
But you never made it through.
You left me here,
In a world full of nothing but tears.
I can see now,
That it was to good to last,
But at times,
It's just to hard to leave you in my past.
I would give anything to have you back,
But I can see now,
That she is better in every single way.
So much better,
That you could just throw us away.
So I'll just sit here,
And hope there will come a day,
When you don't feel so far away.

Author's Note

Alicia Hirshey
Funny how love falls apart. But things happen for a reason. It may not be clear to anyone of us. But in time we will learn to live with our losses and we will be stronger people because of the loss. We all have days that are harder to face then others. Keep your head up. Find an outlet.
