Deceiving EyesA Poem by Alicia Hirsheyhttp://www.writerscafe.org/BlackFairytales
Abstract thoughts.
Blinking once, it doesn’t help. Clouding his mind. Disillusioned for a spell. Everyone’s laughing. Frightened child begging for aid. Give it time. Hope has wings to carry you. Inside his eyes. Jumbled words collide. Knowledge you’ll find. Losing faith is easy but rubbish. Motivated by teachers. Never losing courage, he’s one of a kind. Porcelain voices, ignore their sounds. Quickly judging. Rambunctious tease. Stepping side by side. Tantalizing his needs. Using a single word. Victory, he’ll perceive. Waiting to understand why. Xenophobic peers. You’ll see in time. Zealous, he is, in living this life. © 2011 Alicia HirsheyAuthor's Note
