Come back.

Come back.

"
On sun lit waters
we ride
Biting our lips
Buying our time
Happiness is forever
Woven in rhyme.
~*~
Jagged edges
They make me unsure
Truth Hazes
Kills inside
It all comes down
To this place
To this time
~*~
A smile
A laugh
Just like that
You forget your past
~*~
On sun lit waters
we ride
Biting our lips
Buying our time
Happiness is forever
Woven in rhyme.

Author's Note

Alicia Hirshey
Slowly but surely I am forgetting my mistakes, leaving the past where it belongs and moving into the future, even though no matter how much happiness I will achieve, The past will always be a part of who I am. I don't want to say that this poem is a come back but it seems so much more appropriate for the time being. For this journey that I am making. I am stepping away from everything I have ever known. I have even gone so far as to build a fortress around my once broken heart. I am not fixed, I will never be better, no matter how much I would love too I feel like I will always fall down and Drown myself in the nothingness that sometimes attacks me from behind, but that is okay. Because no matter what I will always have my friends. The ones who under no circumstances will let me fall, to low. And in life, that is all we need, a companion.
