Silence

Silence

A Poem by Beautifulmaddness

When does the perpetual silence end

When does my life begin

My life is silence in agonized ears

They listen so hard but no sound appears

No sway of the violin chords

No metallic clanging of swords

No chaotic ruckus arousing

My life is perpetual browsing

Silent life constantly scrutinized

Consumed in a vortex of eyes

No vision given, no action seen

Eyes waiting at a blank screen

No color envelops the story told

No red rage or glamorous gold

Though these colors are in their midst

Watchful eyes decide they don’t exist

Colorless, soundless, pictureless being

All judging but never seeing

What an existence to never be

What a life to never see
