All

All

A Poem by Beautifulmaddness

Silence filled with loud

Single in distressed crowd

All blind, one withholding eye

All looking strait and one towards the sky

Fingers pointing in every direction

All immune to their own reflection

Harsh words make the air heavy

All pushing on shakable levy

All sharing a mind to never agree

All missing eyes and claiming to see

All looking for understanding but understanding none

All in search of light but rejecting the son

No hand accepted to catch their fall

For though fire impending they deny a call

With an eye for an eye we've all become blind

And seeing nothing we're convinced we'll find

Title sums it up perfectly. We/they only see what they want to. Looking for understanding, but understanding none...Excellent
