The End Of A Dream

The End Of A Dream

A Poem by Beautifully Tragic xPoetry Queen

Follow your heart,

As the ink bleeds on paper.

Every breath and thought

just another way to feel alive.

I am lead away from the burning flames

The haunting memories of the past

I wish I could erase

But for some reason they still exist.

In the webs of my imagination,

The oceans of my own mind

Finding the strength of me

To believe in tomorrow.

The light darkens,

Along these empty tunnels
Returning back to the world

I've always known.

Walking toward the end of a dream.

There's a lot of sadness in this piece, but if you look closely, you'll also find a shred of hope.
Maybe the future could bring something new and exciting, and maybe it's the pain which is actually the dream.
Great as usual.

A lot of hidden story in the poem. Pain and loss allow us to appreciate the good days when they come. I like the many strong statements in the poem.
"The haunting memories of the past

Can't escape memories. Just learn to live with them. Thank you for a excellent poem.
