When Do You....A Poem by Beautifully Tragic xPoetry QueenA little tribute to 9/11When do you stop and take a moment To see how far you've come in your life? To feel alright that you're alive and well And forget about all that troubles you.
When do you take a moment to turn off the tv To put down the newspaper or magazine And stop caring about which Kardashian sister got married And who lost the most weight in Hollywood?
Do you ever hear a person cry out for help Because they're too old and frail to do it themselves Or see an adult yelling and screaming at a child in public Because he doesn't know any better than what he's told.
Do you ever burn a candle in remembrance For a fallen hero or a lost loved one Or someone you may not even know at all And celebrate what life they've given to humankind?
When do you stop remembering the daily fight Sons and daughters facing demons of war And fight for the freedom and priviledges we have To call this place, our country and planet, our home.
When do you forget The unforgettable memories of our history That have sacrificed their lives to help others When no one else would.
