The Darkness

I've been happy...but in a dark mood.

I've been watching you from a distance,

But yet I am so close beside you.

No escape from my clutches,

Feeling my every breath on your neck.

 

Entering your mind,

And taking over, now I'm in control

Turning you against yourself

Filling you with shame and self-pity.

 

I tear your soul to pieces,

As you wish I wouldn't stay.

Whispering my sweet misery and hell

Echoeing throughout your skull.

 

Insanity lurks behind every corner,

Another pill, another slice.

Screaming for some assistance,

That no one seems to hear.

 

You are not alone, don't be afraid.

All the demons you hear

And the shadows of the night,

Remain your only company.

 

Your mind feeling empty,

Your life, out of control.

I have done to you,

What nature has become of me.

Quite a chilling piece - I hope I could sleep tonight after reading this.... ;)
Reminds me of an older piece of mine. I'll look it up later and send you a RR if you haven't read it yet.

I guess it's only natural to feel like we have to control/motivate our partners from time to time, mainly because they might not have the same priority as we do (or sometimes they're just lazy).
