This Is My Country Now

This Is My Country Now

A Poem by Beautifully Tragic xPoetry Queen
"

Venting. But hey look i finally wrote something.

"

Turn on the news or read things on the internet

Everything I see or read

Nothing but violence, pure misery and greed.

Religious groups making things even worse.

Supposed to give people hope and peace of mind

Just feeding lies and fear of aworld unkind.

Teachers care for the schooling of kids

But with the green running out

The teachers keep getting kicked about.

A president once stood for hope

His kingdom crumbles and dies

A glorious country waiting for her demise.

Growing up in greatness and glory.

Human existence just tears it down

This is my country now.

Yes.. and we all stand in the stream of time.. looking back at where the water has run... and to where the river is moving... May there arise those who will help turn the tide.. such pain and frustration now, but we can't let go of hope for the days ahead. Powerful write.

When all looks hopeless here on this earth..we all need to look toward Heaven for aanswers to it all..it is heart breaking to see all of the gutless dictators who give nothing to their own people but misery and then shoot them if they want freedom..good to see you again girl..Kathie

As sad as it is to see everything crumbles, I believe it was inevitable - bubbles have a tendency to pop at some point, and being aware of it happening means that a solution to the problems could be worked out. Unlike other countries suffering from this crisis, the US has a long way to fall before a complete crash. If you were living in a smaller country you would have noticed the difference. This gives you time to fix what's broken and rebuild. Perhaps the days of the US being a superpower are over, but is it really so bad to be average? Less stress, and more time to focus on important things, such as health and welfare. The driver's sit isn't always the best place to sit, especially in a car that is bound to crash.

Glad you're writing again - keep it up. :)
