Something To Remember

My first write in three years. Not great, I dont think, but it'll do.

Dark days hold me in a strong embrace

Never knowing when this misery may end.

These wicked demons of my mind

The only ones I call my friends.

 

Alone in my own created hell

Where the queen of sorrows rule this land.

My own created fantasies

That no one seems to understand.

 

Watching reality's world slowly turning

Almost at the Devil's fiery gates.

Kingdoms at war, depression, and poverty

Til the day we finally meet our fates.

 

But the world keeps turning,

Reminding me that life moves on

People try to forget the ugliness

In hopes of one day becoming a swan.

Don't sell yourself short - it's a very good write. A talent such as yours isn't something one can lose, even if it's been 3 years. I am sorry to hear that you haven't used your skills during your break from the cafe, and even more sorry that your first piece in 3 years is such a sad one. Last time we've spoken you were doing better, but I guess death in the family could have that effect on people. Stay strong - you still have people who care about you, even if you haven't spoken to them in 3 years.. ;)
