Disturbia

 

 Lights flashing,

My monsters are lurking

As I'm wondering what's wrong with me.

I think I'm going insane.

  

 It’s like a stalker in the night

Creeping up to grab you.

The echoes play inside my mind

As the shadows play on the walls.

 

 Are they figments of my imagination?

They are getting too close for comfort.

A disease of the mind,

And it's finally got a hold of me.

 

These demons have been unleashed

from their cages in my soul.

Black clouds pouring acid rain

poisoning all that is left of me.

 

My heart is quickly racing now,

Destroying my state of euphoria.

The colors are flashing - purple, green, and white

As I spiral down out of control.

 

Release me from this curse I'm in,

The emotions are grinding in my skull.

Trying to tame these wicked thoughts

As my mind goes into disturbia.

Rayne, this is Really well written in my opinion, lines breaks, passionate depth,
the meaning that takes the reader further and further into an impending madness,

Great piece!! Dark and strange, a lurking evil beneath the skin...

Really vivid imagery, a sickening feeling of dread and madness. And the last line was great, really brought it all full circle.
