Drug Addiction

Drug Addiction

A Poem by Beautifully Tragic xPoetry Queen
"

Had a poem like this, but decided to revise it, while I attempt to clear my head.

"

Sensations overwhelming,

Addicted to this drug of my soul

High on inspiration,

Flying through the clouds.

Losing control,

Possessed, and I am loyal

A slave to her callings

And bound by freedom.

A battleground of reality,

Unstable in the real world

Something worth being used

A passion ruled legally done.

Agonizing ecstasy,

I surrender to her pleasure

Of sweet serenity

A goddess of my wild imagination.

So we're clear - though there is a picture of weed, this is about writing and art.

That's one drug addiction I would surrender too. I've had days when embracing the outdoors accelerates my endorphins. Although, not exactly what most enjoynumb all over I likeI like

Writing and art are addictions as well and can be as powerful as any drug, especially when someone can't decipher the fine line between fantasy and reality.

I have to say that I don't think you are addicted to writing because you create so much more than just a writing. I think you are hooked on creativeness. The ability that you have to create pieces of art that are both visually pleasing and so powerfully stimulating to the thoughts of your readers. I love your thoughts for this piece and really enjoyed allowing your words to once again feel my head.

Great Job!!!!

rayne, you capture the personification with powerful effect, taking the reader to the depths of
inspiration, pondering that which frees the imagination, the ambience is completely consuming,
reflecting what encourages thoughts to take flight in reason, in the throes of sweet agonizing desirous
provocation, temptuous passions flowing from the heart, surrendering to the natural high achieved
by creativeness, beautifully imagined, touching, refined to form, artfully percieved, captivatingly dark
sensuousness portraying an overshadowing enchantment of the soul

I love the flow of this poem..it made it easy to read and follow along..i love the underlying message as well, how writing and art itself can be an addiction..that can be soo true, writing gives me a high and reading good writing is just as intriguing. I think if writing is similar to drug use we are all in trouble..lol..because there is a whole website set aside for it were all of us addicts can meet and converse and feel normal..I loved this poem..you are a great writer..I enjoyed the read...

An excellent portrayal of what lures someone to a drug, and what ultimately holds them there.

"Agonizing ecstasy,
I surrender to her pleasure
Of sweet serenity
A goddess of my wild imagination."

Great expression here!

Shaking off and addiction is hard.
That's why I try and keep my dependencies to a minimum.
A great write.
